Reno!

Last July, Josh graduated from BYU-I. The very next day, we packed up our cute little house into a gigantic moving truck, and waved goodbye to Idaho!
We were on a adventure. One that would take us away from everything we knew and loved, and propel us into a different world! We were excited and anxious to call Reno, Nevada our new home!

Reno!

I don't think we had any idea just how much we would fall in love with this town! Since we've been here we have done so many things... there is always something to do here!
One of the very first things we did when we got here, was go with our ward and the activity days girls on a day trip to Lake Tahoe. If you've never been I suggest you do!! It's breath taking, and luckily we live just a short distance from one of the most beautiful places ever!

Seriously..... if you haven't been... plan a trip... right now! Its that awesome. Something everybody should see! We love it!
Another awesome thing that happens every year here in Reno is the Great Reno Balloon Race. Now, i've seen hot air balloons... but nothing like this. We woke up at 3:30 in the morning, loaded the girls in the car and parked off the side of the road, waiting for dawn patrol. It sounds crazy I know. But it was worth every second of the tired, whinny, grouchy kids that followed.
There was something almost magical as we watched the hot air balloons rise in the dark sky. We watched them flicker to music, and to the announcers voice... we were in AWE!!!!
And it wasn't long before the sun came up and hundreds of balloons were floating in the air. The girls and I tried to count them... but lost count :)
The girls loved it!

Massive amounts of Hot Air Balloons

Lifting off!

So these are just a few of our first memories of Reno. I thought I'd better right them down, before I couldn't clearly recall all the we have done :)
